From the Olivier Nominated creators of Alice’s Adventures Underground, The Twits and The Game’s Afoot comes the next in the Skill-Builder workshop series: A full day masterclass on Immersive Theatre.
This workshop will explore Les Enfants Terribles’ approach to immersive theatre making and is aimed at directors, producers, designers, teachers, educators and theatre makers.
We’ll start by exploring our own approach to this unique way of working, from the initial idea right through to opening night, providing examples and lessons learned along the way.
After an ‘ask us anything’ session during the lunch break, participants will work collaboratively to apply our foundational principles of immersive theatre making to a pitch idea. Ensuring you leave with the ability to apply the principles in practice to your own work – as well as presenting an opportunity to work creatively with other participants and establish connections with other like-minded practitioners.

We are pleased to offer bursary places on each of the workshops in our series (one for each morning session, one for each afternoon session). These spots are free and are available for anyone who would not be able to afford to attend the workshop otherwise.
We appreciate that there are often a lot of barriers to involvement in the arts, and we don’t want to add to those, so will not be asking for a detailed application form. If you are in a position where you are unable to cover the workshop fee, you can put your name forward for a bursary space. Please refer to our EDI policy here for more guidance on eligibility.
Applications for Bursary spaces are due 7th January 2025 and all eligible candidates will be entered into a ballot from which one name per workshop will be drawn on 8th January 2025.
